High strength anchor bolts are used in a wide variety of construction applications. Westray has supplied a large number of projects over the years including bolts to secure in place:

• A new paper making machine for Australian Paper
• rail track used in coal handling & ship loading at Port Waratah

Westray forgings are also used in “tilt-slab” building applications to lift concrete panels into position. These weigh many tonnes and the conequences of a break in one of the lugs or handles could be fatal. High integrity Westray forgings are used in this application.
